Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with an hourly pay rate of $24.20 / hour. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.
Overview
Completes vendor or payments by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances; analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries; monitoring discount opportunities; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies; insuring credit receipt; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments; reimbursing employee expenses.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare vendor master data and get appropriate documentation from the vendor.
- Verify and get the proper approvals for invoices.
- Code the invoices to the appropriate cost centers and general ledger accounts.
- Review invoices for correct sales taxes and self-assess when required.
- Process Hart Agency invoices thru Ariba.
- Scan coded invoices to workflow.
- Scan demand checks.
- Scan all inventory receiving packets and supplier billing backup invoices.
- Audit employee’s American Express corporate card reconciliation. Ensure that all charges have the appropriate receipts and approvals and follows the business expense reimbursement and compliance policies.
- Research and resolve accounts payable issues (i.e. previous/past due balances).
- Supports other departments as it relates to Accounts Payable issues.
- Resolve internal and external customer issues by returning/acknowledging phone calls and emails in a timely manner and providing responses and resolutions in a reasonable amount of time.
- Perform similar job-related duties as assigned.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
Additional Primary Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency plus 1 year of experience
- Knowledge with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), federal regulatory guidelines, and organizational objectives
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets in creating pivot tables, develop charts, and complex formulas
Physical Demands
- Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
- Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 15lbs
