Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with expected first year total earnings of $41000 - $45000 / year plus commissions. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.

Overview

The General Market Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining strong retail focus to align with all company sales objectives, including but not limited to Volume, Distribution, Share of Market and Customer Service. The position is responsible for growing our entire portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for regular call frequency on assigned retail accounts primarily to sell volume, increase distribution, merchandise monitor price and shelf management
  • Establishing measures to prevent Out of Stocks
  • Responsible for daily decisions regarding retail inventory levels using past sales history, changes in climate, competitive activity and special promotional activities
  • Establishing, maintain, and build business relationships and present professional sales presentations using sales histories
  • Create localized plans to drive growth
  • Understand the target consumer by account
  • Frequent communication with direct line manager and sales team
  • Responsible for daily paperwork and proper completion of all company documents
  • Responsible for the proper communication of company credit and accounts receivable processes. Work with Credit Department to resolve credit issues including collecting past due balances
  • Provide feedback to management regarding promotional activities, market data and competitive activity

  • Developed knowledge and experience in sales and company objectives
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills (Interacts well with Internal & External Customers)
  • Above Average Presentation Skills
  • Excellent Average interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills in all sales programs
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Enthusiastic, Team player interested in positive company growth
  • Clean, Valid NYS Driver’s License
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business or Marketing is requested. A minimum of some college course work completed is required
  • A minimum of 3-5 years sales or applicable experience is required
  • Sales Representatives are required to possess and maintain a New York State Solicitor Permit for the purpose of peddling alcoholic products

Physical Demands

  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
