Overview

The Staff Software Engineer – ServiceNow develops, configures, integrates, tests, and supports moderately complex ServiceNow solutions with system-wide impact. This role translates business and technical requirements into scalable platform solutions, reviews technical designs, supports integrations and platform stability, and provides technical guidance while working within established architectural standards and platform guardrails.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Translate business and technical requirements into ServiceNow configurations, workflows, integrations, user stories, and technical designs.
  • Design, develop, configure, test, and support ServiceNow platform solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, development standards, and platform guardrails.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with internal and external applications, APIs, and enterprise platforms.
  • Review technical design specifications, code, configurations, and workflows to ensure quality, scalability, maintainability, security, and adherence to standards.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Maintain platform stability across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Participate in Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to engineers, administrators, and junior team members.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance ServiceNow capabilities and optimize business processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, ServiceNow development, or related technical role.
  • Hands-on experience developing, configuring, integrating, and supporting ServiceNow solutions.
  • Experience with ITSM, HRSD, App Engine, ITOM, IRM, SecOps, or similar modules.
  • Experience with JavaScript, APIs, integrations, workflow automation, and SDLC practices.
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow CSA, CAD, or related certifications.
  • Experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, CMDB, and CSDM.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
  • Experience mentoring technical team members.

  • Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
