Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect specializing in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to design, develop, and implement robust, scalable, and automated infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of IaC principles, GitOps methodologies, and modern CI/CD practices. You will be instrumental in driving our infrastructure automation strategy, ensuring consistency, repeatability, and security across our cloud and on-premises environments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and architect comprehensive IaC frameworks for the enterprise utilizing based on tools like Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD or Flux.
• Provide guidance and standards development of GitOps workflows for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to implement and optimize IaC practices.
• Architect solutions for managing infrastructure across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Ensure IaC solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Optimize infrastructure costs through automation and efficient resource utilization.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship on IaC best practices and tooling.
• Document IaC architectures, configurations, and processes.
• Evaluate and recommend new IaC tools and technologies to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Participate in architecture governance forums to ensure alignment with organizational standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure automation issues.

Specialized Skills and Technologies

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, and ArgoCD.
• GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Cloud platform infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Scripting and automation (Python, Bash).
• Networking and security best practices for cloud and infrastructure.
• Version control systems (Git).
• Monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years of proven industry experience, with 5+ years in solution architecture roles focused on Infrastructure as Code.
• Expertise in implementing security best practices within IaC (e.g., least privilege, secrets management).
• Extensive hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and ArgoCD.
• Deep understanding of GitOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing modular and scalable IaC solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP) and networking principles.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Expertise in scripting and automation (Python, Bash).
• Strong understanding of security best practices for IaC and cloud environments.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Nice To Have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).
• Terraform Authoring and Operations Professional or Terraform Associate

Physical Demands

• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or mobile device
