Overview
The Last Mile Delivery Manager supports Outbound Logistics, focusing on improving Delivery Routing, Fleet Utilization, Data Integrity, Technology, and Customer Service Levels to drive savings and reduce operational expenses.
Primary Responsibilities
- Define & implement standard operating procedures utilizing routing & dispatching software
- Identify operational risks and collaborate to create and implement solutions to ensure data integrity across platforms; Create, recommend and implement solutions to improve
- Track and monitor site-specific performance related to all Last Mile and Outbound Metrics
- Lead and support Change Management efforts across all sites and SCO activities
- Identify both negative and positive trends in site performance through data analysis
- Share best practices from well-performing sites and develop local market strategies to increase efficiencies and reduce costs
- Monitor and resolve Service Now Tickets related to Last Mile requests & conflicts
- Collaborate with ETP/OCC on related outages, upgrades and future development needs
- Join production-related escalation efforts to mitigate and resolve critical production issues
- Conduct regular performance status meetings with local sites
- Conduct platform collaboration summits consistently across the organization for Last Mile & Outbound communities
Additional Primary Responsibilities
- Identify and coordinate skill improvements/trainings for local teams
- Support Senior Last Mile Leadership regarding communication & presentations to Regional & National Ops and Supply Chain Leadership
- Ensure that sites are meeting expectations related to routing & dispatching
- Provide support and guidance to local sites when needed
- Collaborate with local sites, tangential SCM departments and SGWS Vendors to develop solutions in routing software, OTC, WMS, WCS & SEPOD technologies to improve order processing, shipping, data accuracy, processing times and overall performance to help drive savings
- Routine smoke testing in software sandbox and QA environments, where applicable, to vet vendor software updates before deployment
- Support Supply Chain Improvement endeavors when called upon
- Assist with Go Live execution for all SCO functions
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8 years’ experience in Logistics & Delivery
- Excellent written, verbal, analytical and problem-solving skills
