Overview

The Director of SC&O Technology Strategy is part of an agile team of high-performing Directors and Senior Directors who are leading and executing Southern Glazer’s 10-year Supply Chain & Operations Vision and Strategy Program. This role will have cross-functional access and influence and will frequently collaborate with the Chief Supply Chain Officer on all aspects of the Technology Program and broader strategic initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend technology solutions that align with strategic goals and enhance end-to-end supply chain performance.
  • Analyze data from multiple sources to support informed business decisions and identify industry trends.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop integration plans that improve efficiency, customer experience, and operational outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate across teams to drive key initiatives, influence without authority, and ensure seamless technology integration.
  • Scout, evaluate, and pilot innovative technologies to foster operational excellence and lead rapid proof of concept and pilot projects.
  • Manage partnerships with external technology providers and research institutions to expand capabilities and stay ahead of industry shifts.
  • Champion change management, promote technology adoption, and establish governance for responsible deployment.
  • Represent the company at industry forums and contribute thought leadership.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.

Additional Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 10+ years of overall work experience is required
  • 5+ years leading innovation or emerging technology programs.
  • Hands-on experience working in a supply chain operation, AI, automation, IoT, or robotics is required.
  • Ability to blend technical expertise with understanding of business needs and strategic thinking.
  • Experience with external partnerships and technology scouting.
  • Knowledge of technology, governance and compliance.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in CPG or distribution industry is strongly preferred.

  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 15lbs
