Overview
The Director, Finance Products, is responsible for overseeing the technology portfolio and budgets (operational and product initiatives) across SGWS Corporate finance working closely with key finance business stakeholders including the office of our CFO, Controller and Shared Services. This leader brings deep experience across SAP S/4HANA, Vertex, SAP Ariba, OpenText and SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll/Benefits, and proven experience in strategic transformation, enterprise roadmap leadership, budget and portfolio management, and building high-performing product teams.
Primary Responsibilities
Finance Platform Product Ownership (SAP S/4, Vertex, Ariba, SuccessFactors Payroll)
- Lead product ownership and lifecycle management for:
- SAP S/4HANA Finance (core finance capabilities and integrations); Vertex (tax determination/integration needs across finance and procurement flows); SAP Ariba (Buying & Invoicing and related procurement-to-pay experiences); SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (payroll enablement, integrations, and controls); Employee Central Benefits for Unions and OpenText capabilities.
- Drive platform modernization and ecosystem integration across these systems to reduce manual work, improve controls, and enable scale.
- Partner with Architecture, Security, Data/Analytics, and Integration teams to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, supportable, and compliant.
Product & Portfolio Strategy (Multi‑Year Roadmaps)
- Define and communicate a clear product vision and long-term strategy roadmap for Finance Products aligned to enterprise goals and Finance leadership priorities.
- Own product request intake, value sizing, prioritization, and sequencing across run/grow/transform work; create business cases and outcomes-based plans.
- Establish and govern a product operating model (OKRs/KPIs, decision rights, intake, prioritization, and release planning) with transparent stakeholder communications.
Additional Primary Responsibilities
Transformation Leadership & Change Enablement
- Lead strategic transformation initiatives across Finance Products—from current-state assessment through future-state design, deployment, stabilization, and adoption.
- Build transformation roadmaps that account for organizational readiness, process redesign, data quality, controls, and change management.
- Establish governance routines with Finance leadership and delivery partners; proactively surface risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs.
Agile Product Delivery & Execution
- Lead multiple agile teams (Product Managers/Owners, Analysts, Engineers, QA) to deliver iterative value through well-formed backlogs, clear user stories, and disciplined prioritization.
- Create predictable delivery through sprint/release planning and continuous improvement; remove blockers and drive cross-team dependency management.
- Define “definition of done,” quality standards, and measurable outcomes; ensure production stability and operational excellence.

Governance & Compliance
- Define and enforce policies and standards for acquiring, implementing, and operating Finance Technologies.
- Ensure systems adhere to data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
Financial Management (Budgets, Forecasting, Value Realization)
- Own annual and multi-year portfolio budgets operational & third-party resources.
- Track benefits realization and cost-to-serve; establish dashboards that tie delivery to business outcomes
- Drive tradeoff decisions to maximize value delivery within funding and capacity constraints.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Finance, Finance Technology or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years in technology management with a focus on HR and/or legal systems.
- Leadership: Proven experience in team development, coaching, and strategic leadership through agile delivery.
- Technology Expertise: Deep understanding of SAP S/4 HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, SuccessFactors Employee Central
- Payroll: (ECP) & Benefits (ECB), Vertex, Ariba, Concur, OpenText and Spinifex.
- Project Management: Strong background in Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Agile certification and proven delivery in agile preferred.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Business Acumen: Ability to translate business needs into technology solutions with measurable impact. Experience developing technical roadmaps supporting business stakeholder long-term strategies.
