Overview

The Supplier Billing analyst is responsible for providing support to the Supplier Billing team with all analytical functions, such as review accuracy of payment posting, reconcile clearing accounts, clear grant accounts, etc.

Primary Responsibilities

•    Review payment posting and resolve mis-posting of payments through coordination with the Supplier Billing team, SSD Inventory Costing personnel or the divisions
•    Communicate payment posting errors to the Supplier Billing Processing Supervisor for evaluation, correction and any training required
•    Recommend process improvement to the Supplier Billing Supervisors for adoption
•    Reconcile Grant accounts and Supplier Billing Payment Clearing account
•    Review and initiate the activation of new 888 funds as requested by the Processors 
•    Compile special aging reports for weekly and monthly distribution
•    Review Supplier Billing Master data information and provides feedback
•    Resolve internal and external customer issues by returning/acknowledging phone calls and emails in a timely manner and providing responses and resolutions in a reasonable amount of time. 
•    Interact with other SSD financial departments 
•    Prepare special supplier analysis and other special projects as assigned. 
•    Maintain a thorough understanding of accounting business practices, terms and concepts
•    Flexible to adjust to changes in responsibilities, procedures, or working conditions
•    Willing to initiate self-development activities to learn about Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits industry
•    Support internal and external audit activities, as required, to ensure that auditors are provided with the necessary information to complete their audits timely
•    Provide analysis and documents to internal counsel, as requested 
•    Other duties as assigned

Additional Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum two years’ work experience in A/R is required
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Critical nature of this job may require extended hours

Preferred Qualifications

  • Team player, energetic, self-starter, motivator
  • Proficiency in PC skills, particularly word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Knowledge and experience with a large ERP financial system a plus
