Overview
Provide Route-to-Market, Sales Execution, Project Management, and Business Optimization analytics and recommendations in support of the business.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create marketing programs for use in the field, present new program ideas, and efficiencies, and obtain senior leadership buy-in
- Plan, execute and evaluate sales, promotions, and marketing of brands
- Deliver marketing brand plans to management teams
- Take a Lead role in Supplier Planning Initiatives, including supplier meetings, programming communication, and business review/planning meeting with SGWS leadership
- Ensure all retail programs fall in line with standards regarding tracking and execution by coordinating with Pricing, Business Intelligence, and Finance
- Set program objectives and measure ROI with a KPI scorecard
- Ensure brand pricing and gross profit is aligned to strategy by channel
- Oversee funds related to local marketing and brand planning
- Utilize various available analytic tools (, Tableau, ACD, EzFocus, etc.) to identify local market intelligence and opportunities – consumer shifts/trends, channel dynamics, key account dynamics, etc.
Additional Primary Responsibilities
- Breakdown strategic projects into relevant actionable tasks for the states to execute
- Develop standardized templates to support the Commercial Operations team and drive business efficiencies. Work cross-regionally to drive alignment
- Manage and set standards for the Commercial Strategy team regarding reporting, Route-to-Market design, sales planning/execution, sales force size/coverage, org. structures, etc.
- Develop customer/account modeling analysis and recommendations (e.g. account segmentation, channel strategy, cost-to-serve analytics, ROI, etc.)
- Gatekeeper for all state requests for articles or promotional material on Proof, including image syndication for local/regional use
- Manage E-Comm category landing page for states within the region to determine priority brands so that strategy is aligned with corporate/regional programs
- Recommend performance management initiatives (e.g. compensation/incentive design, development of KPIs, etc.)
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and cost savings initiatives (e.g. supplier/SKU optimization, variable service and delivery levels/fees, etc.)
- Collaborate with Commercial Operations functions including Trade Development, Commercial Finance, S&OP, and BA/BI & SFA to support all regional initiatives and projects and efforts (e.g. supplier RFPs, enterprise-wide initiatives, etc.)
- Participate in corporate and regional initiatives (e.g. supplier RFPs, enterprise-wide initiatives, etc.)
- Coach, direct, counsel team on individual performance; define expectations and monitor progress
- Attract, retain and motivate the team in order to maintain an engaging work environment and ensuring sound policies and procedures adhered to
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 or more years of relevant consulting, project management, analytical, and/or commercial work experience is required
- Able to obtain and meet industry licensing requirements as needed
