Overview

The Courier supports operations by delivering and picking up items for accounts, vendors, subsidiaries, and corporate associates; completing scheduled routes within headquarters and local subsidiaries; responding to special requests; making bank deposits, cashing checks, and picking up bank transactions; driving and maintaining service vehicle.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Record information during the delivery process and check delivery system to confirm deliveries and collections or receive delivery instructions
  • Communicate with recipients to obtain signatures and payments or arrange for recipients to make payments
  • Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes; sort and load items for the most efficient delivery
  • Deliver packages and materials to designated destinations using diverse transportation tools; receive items to be delivered and check information on delivery forms
  • Pick up and deliver packages and materials, per request, using diverse transportation tools
  • Deliver important documents and items from one place to another
  • Take orders over the phone to determine where an item needs to be picked up and delivered
  • Deliver paper, water, and supplies to various areas of the building to ensure that supplies and stock are available to employees as needed
  • Run errands to purchase supplies daily, weekly, or as requested
  • Pick-up and deliver external and inter-office mail to Front Desk Coordinator(s)
  • Perform daily post office run for PO Box correspondence
  • Conduct daily pick-up and deliveries to and from the office and warehouse facilities
  • Obtain signatures on delivery items as needed
  • Load and unload delivery items from the vehicle as needed
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Additional Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency plus one year of experience
  • Clean driving record and valid driver s license

Physical Demands

  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
