Overview
The Commercial Planning Capabilities Analyst reports to the Director of Commercial Planning Capabilities and provides critical technical and analytical support to the commercial-facing organization.
This role serves as a liaison between the Corporate Commercial Planning team and the broader Commercial organization, delivering client-service–oriented support across the planning applications ecosystem. The Analyst brings expertise in Commercial Planning applications and associated business processes to identify opportunities that enhance end-user experience across technology, data, reporting, and workflows.
Primary Responsibilities
• Deliver client services, application support, and issue resolution across the Commercial Planning applications ecosystem
• Perform administrative functions including application configuration, user setup, and security management
• Communicate with end users and technology partners to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application and data issues
• Analyze data issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop and execute resolution plans, escalating as needed to leadership and integration teams
• Maintain and validate data integrity across Commercial Planning applications and reporting environments
• Manage key commercial planning data sets such as Brand Manager assignments and Product Division structures, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business needs
• Evaluate large data sets to identify inconsistencies, conflicts, and opportunities for improvement
• Compile, analyze, and interpret information from multiple sources to support business decision-making
• Develop and monitor planning process KPIs, including data validation, error detection, and performance tracking
• Identify and communicate data-related risks, issues, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders
• Support cross-functional teams including Finance, Commercial Intelligence, Trade Development, and Commercial Operations with tools, reporting, and data insights
Additional Primary Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Technical Degree required
• 1 year of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related field preferred
• Strong ability to analyze large data sets and identify errors, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related analytical tools
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality output
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage cross-functional teams and resolve issues effectively

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong analytical and data evaluation skills with experience in data manipulation and organization
• Experience with Business Objects or similar reporting tools
• Ability to design automated processes, data validation checks, and monitoring mechanisms
• Experience supporting enterprise applications and delivering user training programs
• Exposure to Microsoft Power Automate / Flow
• Visual storytelling and presentation design skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively
• Experience creating visually engaging dashboards, reports, training materials, or process documentation that improve business understanding and tool adoption
