Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with an hourly pay rate $$54000- $69000  and auto reimbursement. This salary range is an average range for this position. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.

Overview

The Team Leader plays a dual role of front-line execution and leadership, overseeing a group of Account Managers to ensure alignment with company standards for sales performance, distribution expansion, and product freshness. This role is responsible for coaching and developing their team, executing against territory goals, maintaining key retail relationships, and ensuring high-performance execution across all accounts.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Account Managers to deliver against distribution, display, and sales goals
  • Provide field training and ongoing performance feedback to team members, reinforcing company expectations, execution standards, and sales techniques
  • Monitor individual performance through KPIs and adjust workloads, territories, or strategies to maximize productivity and execution
  • Act as the main point of accountability for team execution and route effectiveness
  • Foster a team-oriented culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Support the team in driving market share growth through targeted selling, expanded distribution, and retail execution
  • Ensure all team members are properly executing promotional calendars, new product launches, and in-market programming
  • Monitor and drive optimal shelf presence, coolers, and display placements across all key accounts
  • Partner with District and Sales Leadership to develop quarterly business plans and promotional execution strategies

Additional Primary Responsibilities

  • Champion product freshness across the team by enforcing proper rotation standards and reviewing store-level inventory activity regularly
  • Ensure team members are auditing stock levels, pulling aging inventory, and avoiding out-of-stocks or overstocks
  • Identify stagnant SKUs and execute appropriate clearance or repositioning strategies with support from the broader sales team
  • Support team members in strengthening relationships with retail partners and serve as an escalation point for resolving challenges in key accounts
  •  Conduct ride-alongs and market visits to evaluate retail execution and provide in-field coaching
  • Engage directly with accounts to reinforce company presence and drive key initiatives
  • Analyze sales data, territory performance, and execution gaps to identify opportunities and develop corrective action plans
  • Collaborate closely with delivery, merchandising, and sales leadership to ensure seamless field execution.
  • Attend leadership meetings to align on goals, share insights, and contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in beverage sales, field execution, or merchandising required
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring a team strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of retail execution standards, product rotation, and beverage market dynamics
  • Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
  • Must be 21+ with valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
  • Natural leader with a passion for developing others and holding a team to high standards
  • Execution-focused with strong attention to detail in-store and in data analysis
  • Results-driven, energetic, and committed to growing both people and portfolio
  • Comfortable spending the majority of time in the field with account managers and retail partners
