Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with an hourly pay rate $15.38 - $25.20 and auto reimbursement. This salary range is an average range for this position. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.

Overview

Sales Support Specialist responsible for providing operational and administrative support to the sales team, ensuring efficient execution of sales activities. Supports functions including shelf set coordination, merchandising, and relief account management. Utilizes strong organizational and strategic thinking skills to assist with planning, coordination, and execution of sales initiatives, contributing to overall team effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective merchandising strategies aligned with sales objectives
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure consistent brand representation, accurate pricing, and attractive product displays in retail locations
  • Monitor merchandising standards and make recommendations for improvements as needed
  • Participate in the coordination of shelf set activities, including planning, implementation, and execution of product displays and merchandising strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize shelf space, improve product visibility, and enhance overall customer experience
  • Periodically assist with covering sales territories during absences or vacancies
  • Ensure seamless continuity of sales activities and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams such as marketing, operations, and finance to ensure alignment of strategies and seamless execution
  • Collaborate on joint initiatives and provide valuable input to optimize sales processes and improve overall customer satisfaction

Additional Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma required, Bachelors degree preferred
  • Proven experience in sales, sales support, merchandising, or related roles
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all internal and external customers
  • Familiarity with sales support tools, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Physical Demands

  • Physical typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 48lbs
