Overview

The EHS Data Systems & Compliance Specialist reports to the Sr. National Director EHS and supports Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (SGWS) EHS, DOT and Business Continuity operations across the nation. This position will complement these teams with technical, data management, compliance, auditing, and tactical support. The EHS Data Systems & Compliance Specialist will function as a point of contact related to the day-to-day tracking of the EHS department related metrics, national programs implementation, and corrective actions associated with our compliance auditing program. This role supports SGWS moving toward our goal of world class EHS performance and will be accountable for developing and maintaining processes and solutions related to data compilation, validation, certification, and report generation. As a resource for the organization, s/he will provide analysis and solutions to ensure quality, accuracy, completeness and transparency with reporting regarding injury and illness data, worker’s compensation claims, vehicle collisions, compliance program metrics and sustainability initiatives across the organization. S/he will be the subject matter expert/administrator on multiple EHS Data Management Systems including, but not limited to, Intelex, Via One, Sphera, Tableau, Info-link, I-warehouse and the SGWS Internal Learning Management Systems.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide regular metrics reports to the VP EHS regarding program implementation status, injury and illness rates, vehicle collisions, program auditing, site inspections and corrective actions
  • Monitor and perform trend analysis of SGWS EHS/DOT, Business Continuity and sustainability related activities
  • Work closely with SGWS IT team and EHS Data Management vendors to improve processes, investigate and resolve data integrity related problems in down-stream applications with minimal interruption
  • Maintain and/or support completion of OSHA 300, 300A logs and Bureau of Labor Statistics Surveys for the entire company
  • Demonstrated effective adult training techniques, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, as well as the measurement of training effectiveness
  • Review and evaluate existing SGWS EHS educational programs for periodic updates and facilitate hands-on training of EHS Data Management systems to new users
  • Conduct troubleshooting, work with vendors, create, change and delete user accounts upon request and walk users through problem-solving process
  • Successfully manage and lead infrastructure projects on schedule and budget
  • Responsible to upkeep the SGWS EHS/DOT Share Point files
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Additional Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Sciences, or relevant field
  • A minimum of 5 years’ application development experience on complex systems which includes a detailed working knowledge of systems integration, programming techniques, and application interfaces
  • In-depth knowledge of web technologies, programming web-based and mobile user interfaces, database design, modern software architectures, application development methodologies and lifecycles, experience with cloud based deployment practices, and providing end user support is essential
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Proven experience in a large-scale environment conducting requirements analyses and building comprehensive data models and detailed roadmaps for technology systems
  • Ability to lead a project team in the successful completion of projected related activities per an approved plan
  • 25% Travel Required - multiple U.S. locations
