Overview

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for scheduling all incoming freight. This position will reconcile receiving paperwork before submitting it to the front office for data entry.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with a lunch break from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM. Lunch breaks should be taken in the breakroom or outside the facility, and employees must clock in and out for them.
• Manage the Will Call department: Receive and distribute Samples, Handbills, and Point of Sale (POS) materials to the Jacksonville sales teams and supplier partners. Sorting DWS cases, handbills, and samples, and separating POS materials. The general time to process one solid bin per person is approximately 1 hour.

2. • Ensure timely returns of any samples or handbills to Lakeland if they are not picked up within the allotted timeframe (next day for handbills). Work with warehouse to process prior-day returns for return to Lakeland.
   • Maintain inventory reports for overage, shortages, breakage, and mis-picks. Report any shortages and breakage to security the same day.

• Coordinate POS orders with SFL Point of Sale, notifying sales teams of arrival and pickup deadlines before returning unclaimed items to Miami POS.

• • POS handling: Once invoices/handbills are processed, divide and place POS materials in their designated areas by team.
  • Any POS not picked up by the deadline must be returned to Miami or discarded.
  • Separate, stage, and ship all Tallahassee and Gainesville POS, handbills, and samples to storage units. Organize, wrap, label, and ship packages to state depots as needed.

• Process incoming shipments: Receive FedEx, UPS, Staples orders for the Jacksonville Sales office handing them off to Jackie in the office for distribution.

• Backup for DWS Clerk: The POS clerk serves as a backup for the DWS clerk when absent and will be trained to bill product in AS400.
• Sort and stage products for special orders and charity events.
• Process incoming shipments: Receive FedEx, UPS, Staples orders, and postal mail for the Jacksonville Sales office, handing them off to Jackie for distribution.
• Warehouse cleanliness:

• • The POS clerk is responsible for maintaining order and cleanliness in the handbill/samples and POS areas.
  • Sales personnel are responsible for disposing of POS trash/boxes, but any items left behind must be thrown away by the POS clerk. While teams should pick up after themselves, the POS clerk oversees the warehouse’s overall tidiness.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1 year of experience
• Knowledge with modern warehousing practices and methods

• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine
• Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
• May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 45lbs
