Overview

The Product Training Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of product education for sales teams. This role is critical in developing an organization that understands the important role that our product knowledge excellence plays in the success and growth of our customers and therefore the success and growth of the enterprise.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Administer the education, training, and development programs that foster the organizational expertise needed to maximize employee effectiveness and efficiency out in the market
  • Implement and facilitate learning and development strategies and programs to meet objectives
  • Research, identify, implement, and maintain new opportunities for supporting training needs and goals Identify on-going business needs to be addressed and satisfied by meaningful, action-oriented training
  • Generate reporting of and ensure 100% compliance on core curriculum
  • Conducts follow up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results
  • Work with sales consultants and managers, as requested by Leadership Team, and provide developmental feedback and coaching
  • Oversee the scheduling and coordinating of all sales training classes; develop calendars for initial training program roll-outs and maintenance of programs for employees
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Additional Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Expert knowledge of sales and sales management techniques
  • Three years of industry experience with demonstrated spirit and wine product knowledge
  • Certification with Wine and Spirits Education Trust, Court of Master Sommeliers, and Society of Wine/Spirits Educators
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and application
  • Work effectively in a team environment and to collaborate across lines of business and functions
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time may include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or mobile device
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
