Overview

The State Finance Vice President (TX) is responsible for directing all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting. Analyzing company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee an efficient and effective distribution of financial reporting and the required explanation of these results to state and divisional leaders
  • Inform and advise senior management on the organization's financial condition
  • Partner with senior management in setting annual financial goals and targets for organization
  • Forecast sales, cost and overall financial performance
  • Identify, communicate, manage and monitor financial and operational risks to ensure articulated business objectives are achieved
  • Review, assess, and report financial details of the state/division to ensure business rules and compliance are being consistently applied
  • Analyze and anticipate performance trends and external events that may influence business results and provides recommendations for corrective action
  • Support the budgeting process with the SAP environment
  • Support the monthly reporting package to align with capabilities of SAP reporting tools (BI) and future tools such as HANA
  • Drive improvement in financial modeling and process, with an ultimate objective of creating accurate and timely financial projections in an efficient manner
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor s Degree in Finance or Accounting, and 10 years of experience or equivalent education and related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
