Overview

The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for leveraging moderate to advanced data analytics to address complex business challenges specific to Commercial Next Best Action and Recommendation Initiatives to drive business growth and enhance user experiences. You will focus on uncovering how data can drive strategic decisions and operational improvements. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. In addition, the role involves gathering and normalizing data from various sources, ensuring its integrity and quality through strict adherence to information governance practices.

The Senior Data Analyst interprets data using advanced techniques to extract insights, develops visualizations to communicate findings, and establishes comprehensive metrics to measure performance.

They propose solutions for data issues, facilitate effective communication between departments, and ensure that all stakeholders are aligned on project goals and timelines.

Primary Responsibilities

• Implement statistical models to identify and reveal trends, patterns, and relationships in data to provide guidance to others for decision making processes.
• Assist in development of comprehensive data product designs that align with organizational goals
• Lead data classification and data-mining activities to enable more accurate analysis.
• Collaborate with SGWS cross functional departments to analyze existing data processes and subsequently recommend improvements.
• Inform solution design and improvements to meet data quality goals while suggesting analytics opportunities and best practices.
• Monitor and maintain the performance of deployed data products, making necessary adjustments and improvements.
• Analyze, interpret, and simplify model outputs into understandable data stories with business context.
• Create enterprise data visualizations and reports to clearly present to stakeholders.
• Contribute to management of central data stores and metadata to establish quality expectations.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure the data product meets quality standards.
• Identify opportunities to increase data quality, including automation.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance data products to meet evolving business needs.
• Participates in identifying and implementing techniques for data collection, accuracy and management.
• Report findings and works proactively with data governance, data stewards, business systems to propose methods for remediation.
• Support building scalable AI solutions with emphasis on applying business acumen prompt engineering.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, information science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Typically, 5+ years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist, BI analyst, or related profession, blended with a focus in sales, commercial strategy, or ecommerce preferred.
• BevAl industry business knowledge highly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of analytics, visualization, and business intelligence tools.
• Working knowledge of statistical software, database queries, and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python or R), expected to continue sharpening skills in this area.
• Proficiency in advanced data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.
• Native-level proficiency/fluent in English.
• Demonstrated ability to lead analysis activities across and within teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex and novel problems.
• Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills to build strong relationships with cross-functional business units and stakeholders.
• Proficient data analysis and data modeling skills to identify patterns, trends, and solutions to complex problems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments.
• In depth knowledge of data exploration techniques (binning, pivoting, summarizing, and finding correlations).
• In-depth knowledge of data models and structures, as well as database design tools
• Experience with big data technologies and platforms (e.g., Databricks). Experience with Redshift, preferably.
• Proven ability to consider and incorporate the implications of analysis into strategic recommendations for business decisions.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to stakeholders to increase their understanding of their operations.
• Ability to see the big picture and make decisions based on strategy and value delivered.
• Strong understanding of data governance and data quality management.
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
• Proven attention to detail and ability to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
