Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with expected first year total earnings of $80000 - $90000 / year including bonus. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.  

Overview

The Delivery Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the delivery operations to ensure timely and efficient service to customers. This role involves managing a team of delivery drivers, coordinating logistics, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. The Delivery Supervisor will work closely with other departments to optimize delivery routes and implement best practices in logistics management.

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of delivery drivers to ensure efficient operations.
• Coordinate daily delivery schedules and optimize routes for timely deliveries.
• Monitor delivery performance and implement improvements as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Train and evaluate delivery staff, providing feedback and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to streamline operations.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries and delivery issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and driver performance metrics.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance and ensure all delivery vehicles are in good condition.
• Develop and implement strategies for improving delivery efficiency.
• Prepare reports on delivery performance and provide insights for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to delivery operations.
• Assist in budgeting and managing delivery-related expenses.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment for delivery staff.
• Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Additional Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in logistics or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in delivery operations or a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in route planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in delivery operations.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience with route optimization software.
• Familiarity with GPS tracking systems.
• Knowledge of logistics management software.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
• Understanding of lean logistics practices and principles.

Physical Demands

• Able to lift, load, unload, and move products weighing up to 165 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the job
• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine
• Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
