Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with expected first year total earnings between $45000 / year plus auto allowance reimbursement. This salary range is an average range for this position. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.

A role as a Sales Relief Representative might be right for you. Sales Relief Representatives are responsible for assisting Sales Representatives in growing the company portfolio and engaging consumers through point of sale, shelf assortment, and creative displays at retail accounts. Primary Responsibilities

  • Cover sales routes of Sales Representatives and Portfolio Managers that are out on vacation, leave, etc. across total territory
  • Comply with call frequency standards as directed and input into the assigned system
  • Assist with the selling-in of trade solutions, sampling activations, and POCM placement
  • Implement sales performance measures and targets using brand priorities in achieving expected results
  • Make daily decisions regarding retail inventory levels using past sales history, sales data tools, and changes in climate, competitive activity, and special promotional activities
  • Manage, monitor, count and rotate in-store inventory for expiration and freshness
  • Utilize sales history, data tools, and competitive activity to manage territory and retailers
  • Promote and build brand awareness of the assigned portfolio
  • Execute events and promotional activities – sampling, engraving, training (may include evenings and weekends)
  • Review target account analysis and reports to ensure brands are performing at the top of class levels for all assigned accounts
  • Establish and supervise quality control standards. Connect with all departments as necessary
  • Improve velocity in accounts by building displays, driving distribution, resetting coolers, displaying POS items, educating retail employees, hand-selling, sampling, securing features, and developing promotional programs

Additional Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensures product is accurately priced and POP is compliant
  • Utilize SG sales tools for daily activities and to report on activities. Knowledge and adherence to local alcoholic beverage laws
  • Work with suppliers as required to build brands and drive sales
  • Work with the credit department to resolve credit issues including collecting past due balances
  • Increase shelf space and placements for products distributed by SG Beverage products
  • Executes store resources and required surveys as needed
  • Build and maintain product displays for products distributed by SG Beverage
  • Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales
  • Install permanent new point of sale (POS) items in retail accounts
  • Responsible for assisting in the daily upkeep of the POS Warehouse
  • Execute store resets as needed
  • Act as full business “owner” grow net revenue and help the company Lead Future Growth
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Able and willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays
  • Highly self-motivated and organized with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid interpersonal skills and team orientation
  • Comfort level with change and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Strong selling and negotiation skills
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to grow and lead customer relationships
  • Ability to understand and read invoices, load sheets, job orders, and installation instructions as well as ability to calculate simple math functions

Physical Demands

  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • Ability to work hours as required (nights, weekends, etc.)
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 48lbs
