Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with a salary range of $80100 - $101900 / year plus bonus. This salary range is an average range for this position. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.
Overview
Analytical rigor & problem solving; data governance & accuracy; stakeholder communication; program management; business acumen (pricing/RTM/inventory); presentation design; proactive issue identification and solution modeling.
Program accuracy & timeliness: ≥ 98% on program entry and reporting SLAs to leadership/suppliers.
Insights impact: Deliver at least quarterly ROI analyses and trend reviews that influence programming decisions (documented adoption by Commercial leadership).
RTM optimization: Complete two analyses on sales force coverage/Org design resulting in measurable efficiency gains (e.g., cost per case, service fee alignment).
Supplier presentations: Produce monthly, supplier‑ready decks integrating consumer/channel insights and program KPIs.
Primary Responsibilities
Market & Trade Development Analytics
- Analyze sales, marketing, and consumer datasets to identify local market opportunities (consumer shifts/trends, channel dynamics, key account/chain dynamics).
- Build reporting and insights for marketing programming and KPI development across geographies, regions, chains, and categories.
- Develop supplier‑ready presentations incorporating market research, data analysis, and interpretation of market measures.
Program & Pricing Management
- Maintain marketing pricing and contract calendars; manage closeouts and inventory reduction items within regulatory guidelines and timelines; ensure accurate, timely program tracking aligned to state/region standards.
- Evaluate past program success/failure trends; advise stakeholders using trend analysis and provide accurate insights into live program performance and ROI.
Business Intelligence Systems & Reporting
- Input corporate and supplier programs into designated BI applications (e.g., NSM, Goal Builder, SODs, Business Objects) and streamline reporting to organizational standards.
- Track, verify, and report results to commercial leadership, field teams, and suppliers; identify system deficiencies and propose solutions.
- Follow established documentation standards to ensure uniformity and data governance across the organization.
Route‑to‑Market & Sales Planning
- Provide analysis on route‑to‑market design, sales planning/execution, sales force size/coverage, and organizational structures.
- Cross‑compare customer selling opportunities with sales performance and brand challenges/initiatives; provide a data‑driven roadmap for sales execution.
Performance Management & Operations
- Develop performance management initiatives (e.g., compensation/incentive design; KPI frameworks) and support operational efficiencies/cost‑savings (supplier/SKU optimization; variable service/delivery levels/fees).
- Collaborate with peers to develop strategic data‑modeling tools/databases; deliver ad‑hoc analyses as needed.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Conduct quarterly field sales ride‑alongs (as needed) to ground insights in real‑world execution.
- Create executive‑ready materials; communicate findings clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
Additional Primary Responsibilities
- Wine & Spirits/Beverage industry experience with cross‑functional exposure; knowledge of state regulations and adult beverage market dynamics; experience in route‑to‑market (RTM).
- 2+ years in pricing/finance/analytics within consumer goods; experience building presentations/business cases.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel) and SharePoint; familiarity with BI tools (NSM, Goal Builder, SODs, Business Objects).
- Demonstrated analytical ability; strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines with high‑quality output.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus three years of relevant analytical/business analyst experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to obtain and meet industry licensing requirements as needed.
